Michael herding the turtle to the side of the road
We have been busy cleaning and clearing the house and property of things we don’t need. I have planted perennial wild flowers as well as wildflower that were given out at my mom’s memorial service. I will be planting columbine seeds to bloom next year. I also will be planting sunflowers and zinnias. My tomato plants have baby tomatoes on them and I have one pepper growing too. I have three pepper plants and two tomato plants. Michael has made a water feature near our bird feeders. I need to hang our hummingbird feeders as I see them around.
We went out to lunch today at one of our favorite restaurants-Tenchi’s in Greensboro Maryland. The sweetest and hardest working couple own it. They always welcome us with open arms. We love it there and it is somewhere Michael feels at home. They love Margaret too.
I have a caregiving call for caregivers of veterans with PTSD every Thursday. I am the youngest on the call. I have been on the calls for about six months. They have been a big help. I actually felt like a valued member of the group two weeks ago. Everyone was happy I joined the call. It is very helpful to hear other experiences and how they handle different aspects of PTSD.
I am feeling a sense of calm I have not felt in a very long time.
