Understanding Sydney

The cat in the top picture has a fierce mug but is a shy sweetheart. I was a bit disappointed when his owner called today to postpone their trip due to weather. But when the seas are calmer I will be watching Sydney and his buddy Eddie. Sydney’s mug is a true representation that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Most assume he is mean from his scowl but he is not. Many people assume a lot from other’s appearance but it is true you never really know what is going on in someone’s life.

I have many interests as I am sure you do and you have various friends who share those interests. I love horses but many of my friends are fearful of them but I have a group who are comfortable around them. I have my birding group of friends who understand the joy in seeing a bird for the first time. My astrophysics buddies understand the love I have of the night sky and don’t laugh when I run outside every time the space station goes over head or to view a meteor shower. My fellow book lovers understand the love of reading and the shelves and shelves of books that I have in my apartment. I love that I found people who share my interests but I am just as happy I have found I am happy with who I am. It took me many years to come to that realization but with of life’s bumps, bruises, dips, and joys I am happy where I am and who I am.

Have a great Sunday and be happy with who you are.

  1. Understanding a cat now that is an undertaking. Enjoyed the post. A well rounded individual that gets excited by what some folks might take as mundane. I agree be happy with who you are and seek improvement.
