The countdown has begun. Eight days left to finish moving. I’ve only had two meltdowns during the month since we found out I needed to move ASAP. We are almost all done moving and I need to call a couple of charities to see if they will take tre furniture I’m not taking with me. My mom has been wonderful helping me pack and in mom tradition locked her keys in the car again as she has on another move. Mike has been unfailingly supportive never once complaining about my books, candles or knick knacks. Two friends have also helped me pack and transport things. Jenn who has been my friend for a very long time and Nikia who is coworker as well as a friend.
I hope to be all unpacked and settled by Christmas. Mike has been helping me stay focused and not let things get untidy or messy. It has made a difference. In between moving and packing I’ve been making homemade applesauce. I make it with a food mill as my mom and grandmother did. I find it relaxing.
The sunsets have been amazing lately. I have enjoyed watching them and sharing them with Mike. I’m hoping to have more time to write and draw after we finish with my move.
I’m thankful for many things among them being safe, having a roof over my head, food on the table, extra money to enjoy a meal or two out and family and friends to enjoy their company and of course Mike.
For those in the United States enjoy Thanksgiving on Thursday. Blessings to all.
Hope you are soon all settled in and your photos are lovely.
Thanks! Now just need to unpack 🙂
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, too, Becca! Moving is stressful. Just hang in there. You will soon be settled in your new abode.
Take care,
Cheryl
Thank!
